Im just amidst realizing how horrible it is to live on your own!!! But i have no choice…
Man boredom at its peak. And this place is crazy, it has nothing to do!
Nowhere to go! well i might be going to NY, PA and CT for some office stuff..but still.. boring!
I only kno a handful of ppl around here, mostly from work, and i see them enough at work to be spendign weekends with them hehe…
any ideas what can be done living alone, other than cooking and cleaning, which i do enough already… i have nothing left to clean now..and my refrigerator is overpacked with cooked food!
There are many things you can do depending on where in MD you're. If you're closer to DC then you can hop on a train (DC metro is superb!) and check out Smithsonian area/The Mall.
Next you can check out Georgetown area which is quite a happening place with good resturants etc. It's M street & Nebraska. In MD itself you can go to Inner Harbor in Baltimore which is nice. But I'd recommend keeping it to inner harbor area. Baltimore has some really bad areas.
Washingtonpost is a pretty good resource of DC and surrounding metro area events as well.
You can also make many friends by joining various clubs for activities like tennis, hiking etc. I believe there is also craigs listing for various events or social clubs where you can meet people.
I dont live close to DC, though I want to go there, but u need a day to visit those places and i’m at work on weekdays.. i could plan for a weekend.
I’m in baltimore area, and yeah i’ve been to inner harbor a bunch of times already… even for a long drive i go there… kinda redundant if u ask me.. seen the place several times. Its abeautiful place, but one can only see it that many times.
I still have to go into the aquarium etc tho.. but what fun is that to go alone?
I will be going to NY coming week.. which stinks too cuz i have to take train or bus to manhattan. I used to like that place, but now i’m starting to hate it… too many bad experiences since then…

if not anything, atleast i have forums to visit… which I do alot lately. A friend got me in the habit of it and now i’m like everywhere hehe… even a public relations person for one of the forums.. marketing away lol
I live in MD, closer to Baltimore. I have a two year son and I work full time so never bored. Plus i have my family here too. If you will go to Baltimore masjid (Al Rehman) you will be able to meet lot of nice people. Still bored you can come and visit us.
