I just read that 'The DaVinci Code" by Dan Brown is going to be made into a movie (COlumbia). The ‘danger’ with that is that it’ll be hard to live up to the book (which was brilliant in my opinion) I’ll watch it anywayz cuz it’s interesting to know how much they follow the book.
So I was thinking, what books/novels would you want to see picturised?
^ That one seems to be made to be turned into a movie (with car-chase scenes, etc). His earlier book, Angels and Demons, has a slightly different feel.
I'd love to be see a lot of books as movies -- but it's also so scary because if you really love the book, it'll destroy your reading of it. The only time that didnt happen was with A&E's Pride and Prejudice. You kind of have to be willing to see the movie as an entirely separate entity.
So with what books would I be willing to take that risk? Hmm...

Wings of Adventure...
It's a very old book, written more than 50 years ago...But it was so exciting I bet if it was made into a good movie, it would leave the Indiana Jones trilogy far behind...
Sahar, I don't think watching the movie will destroy ur reading of the book. Most of the time it's the book that's held in a higher regard and movies rarely come close to it.
Waise Pride and Prejuidice is one of my alltime favourites (books)
i absolutly loves this book..read it within 2 days!!
i hate it when they ruin books by turning them into movies, no way will the movie ever be as good as the book..its like lord of the rings…how they ruined them!! eesh..
