i just ordered the following three books thru amazon… i thought they’d be here in 2-3 weeks.. but they’re gonna take about 6 weeks sigh

For Matrimonial Purposes is really funny. There were some things I could relate to. It wasn't necessarily a heart-warming or touching story, but a fun read.
I'm almost through Brick Lane. It's really well written. Let me know how you like the Meera Syal book. I haven't read that yet, but want to in the near future.

The Meera Syal book is extremely funny but has a lot of references to growing up and living in Britain so it might not seem very relevant to everyone.
^ not true...Roman read it and he could relate to it. Everyone has a little girl inside of them with dirty knees. :Pretty:
Saima, ive read brick lane… what do u think of it? for me, i think its an arrite book.. but ive read better. Still a good read though…
Muniya, the end to brick lane seems quite realistic… ive seen it happen 
yeh Sami… the books are from US and have to go thru customs.. i couldnt be stuffed going to the local bookstore…
