ONLY if you are baa-vuzuu when you get into bed...vaise, bed meN leT kar Qur'aan paRhnaa aadaab-e-tilaavat ke Khilaaf hai...

Qur'aan is meant to be read correctly, understood, incorporated into our lives and to pass on the knowledge gained to others who aren't that Qur'aan literate.

How it is against aadab e tilawat? Ba wazu is ok, per let kar padhne se, how we can't read it correctly or how it affects our understanding. I used to read tafseer quran during Ramadan while laying in my bed. I feel more relaxed and could read more compared to reading that sitting on a table.

In Jat land we either have Huqqas or wine cellar instead of book case:D, and it is used for both enjoying and showing off:)

ab maiN kia 'arz karuuN…Islam meN har cheez ke karne ke aadaab maujood hai. aap Khud hii in aadaab ko paRh leN…ham in aadaab meN se ziyaad se ziyaada aadaab par 'amal pairaa hoN to yeh hamaare faraaiz-e-awwaleen meN se haiN…agar aap in meN se kisii aadaab se ittefaaq na kareN to phir yeh ek alag baat hai..mulaaHizah farmaaiye.

:jazak: KKF. But after reading all the aadaab, I still want to make Quran e Pak as my Bed time book instead of keeping aside in Jazdaan at higher places.

Pundas need not to show off, they have knowledge about most of the things by default and people don’t suspect about their knowledge. All religious books are kept in PujaGhar facing North South direction. Hardly any book is kept in Baithak,drawing room:)

Mostly no, there is seprate adhyanKaksh, study room, but with rise in modernity it is sometimes observed in modern family, but by their practice keeping books in drawing room is bad social manner.
