Re: Books an endangered commodity
The reason I asked that was because they only deliver 1-3 books/mth, of their own choice (depending on the subscription type). Now I don't think they'll let it go at that so ppl can actually "lend" the book to a friend. Hence my comment about proprietary format.
In post # 28 I'd mentioned a software for reading e-magazines, and that's preciesly what that particular software does, i.e. restrict distribution (or attempts to).
PS: Ok, I stand corrected, this is what they say:
"The Summaries are available in 4 different online text formats: PDF, HTML, Microsoft eBook (LIT) and Palm Doc (PDB) and 1 online audio format: MP3. You can read them on your PC, print them out, save them to your computer, download them to your PDA, or listen to them in MP3 format."
Re: Books an endangered commodity
u can print it and lend to a friend :D
but they arewell within their rights to prevent unauthorized copies.
point being that magazine and book e-publihsers, auhtors and all would have a vested interest in getting their share and preventing duplication.
returning to the exec sumamries issue, this is just one of several companies, there are others where u can choose books I think.
We are getting there, are’t we?
Right! and eventually No Batteries needed just let the Sun light up the pages of your Kindle ![]()
