BOOK: The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

My current read, was recommended to me by two guppies.
I’m on the 3rd chapter – and its sooooooooooo cliched!
Like yeh noble sister saves other sister… you can almost predict the rest of the story.

Its so like big brother concept meets Judge Dread meets I am legend.

Has anyone else read the book?
I’m soooo close to not finishing it – and I hate half read books.

Agreed...

OMG it such a brainless sucky book!!

At least twilight had an underlying love story.

Mirchi jaani - have you read it?

After your review I do not intend to.

^ i really liked the movie too; that's what inspired me to read the books. I'm glad I did! I think they are thoughtful and well-written while still being entertaining and captivating.

Re: BOOK: The Hunger Games

I enjoyed the books as well.

I reminded myself that isn't high-brow literary work, it's aimed at young adults and given it's primary audience it translated well into an adult read IMO.
