After a lot of thought i decided to post this link so you can see for yourselves how in the name of freedom of speech nothing is sacred and anyone including Allah and our prophet Muhammed saw can be insulted. I could not bring myself to upload this pic and hence i have only posted the link. Please please moderators do not delete this post.
Very sad…This is deliberate mockery…And to think it was carried out by those that are responsible for conveying knowledge to millions, the publishers…What kind of knowledge are they imparting? Intolerance? Anger? Disrespect? Mockery? Agitation?
It is precisely this kind of intolerance coming from publishers like these in the west that results in misunderstandings and eventual conflicts of beliefs…And to think that people believe Mullahs are the perpetrators of intolerance…
I sent them an e-mail and this is what I got back:
"Amber Books Ltd sincerely apologises for any offence that has been caused by
the inclusion of a pictorial representation of the Prophet Muhammad on page
36 in the book entitled 'The History of Punishment'. Amber Books are
currently discussing this issue with the Muslim Council of Britain who are
advising Amber Books on the best course of action."
It looks like it is auto-notification e-mail. I recieved this almost immediatly.
I think they will remove it, I remember Ginn series of learning books had a portrait of the Prophet in the chapter on Islam (from the back side, only his cloack could be seen), but in the next edition they completely took it off, and apologized for that.

I do not get it though. How would they know what he looks like? Did they just draw some random bearded guy to represent the Rasul?

well i heard that who ever sees the prophet SWS in a dream has truly seen him, and maybe they got the discription from somone who saw the prophet SWS in his dreams. cuz i know they draw criminals from peoples disc very accurately.( not saying this is accurate or right though)
**After discussions with the Muslim Council of Britain and with the Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPAC), Amber Books Ltd would like to confirm that all issues relating to the publication of 'The History of Punishment' have now been resolved. For further information and details please view the MPAC website at www.mpacuk.com.
what about those who insult Allah (swt) and his Messenger (saw) everyday by improsoning and torturing muslims for being islamic, and they insult Allah everyday by being their own Haakim when this is an attribute for Allah only...
In this situation i would paraphrase an old saying...
when the islamic nizaam is destroyed, they can mock Allah (swt) and his Messenger (swt) for free, but when it returns, they will not even think about it...
(paraphrased from sultan abdul hameed,,, "when the khilafah is destroyed, you (jews) will have jerusalem for free, but i will not carve up the muslim lands while i am alive")
