What are your fears/phobias?
Re: BOO!!!
I’m afraid of dying alone.
Re: BOO!!!
So does that mean you want others to die with you…or that you simply want someone by your side? ![]()
Could go either way.
Re: BOO!!!
just someone to be there when my time comes.
Re: BOO!!!
Awwwwww
Mines has to be trypanophobia.
Re: BOO!!!
I have a fear of bodies of water and what might lurk underneath them, especially the ocean
I find certain repetition maddening…like children’s songs from toys, etc.
Re: BOO!!!
i don’t think it’s medically proven to be a recognised phobic disorder yet
Re: BOO!!!
i find noisy toys disturbing too. I love the ocean, i m an avid open ocean swimmer.
Re: BOO!!!
Merely disturbing? I bet you don’t have this irrational fear in the back of your mind that the noise or the chant won’t stop.

Re: BOO!!!
No fear…
Re: BOO!!!
I love water bodies. They’re my favorite. At the same time, I fear them. Fear their depth and endlessness as well as what lurks beneath them.
I fear small enclosed spaces. Even watching people in movies going through small tunnels for a long time makes me feel weird.
I fear the grave. I fear heights too. I refuse to go near the railing at the mountains nor let any of my family members go. I don’t sit anywhere near glass walls unless I’m on the ground floor.
Re: BOO!!!
Are you afraid of elevators then? I generally don’t mind enclosed places. But the one time I had a panic attack of sorts was during a field trip to Islands of Adventure. My small group of students and I headed to Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls ride…which is basically a log ride that falls into the water. But the place was jam packed to the point that there was no distinct waiting queue in that very dark and very narrow room. I had heard of fire accidents taking place there and it’s a wonder they hadn’t expanded it. Thankfully I was close to an exit because I was about to pass out. It was the one major ride we didn’t go on.
Heights don’t bother me, nor does looking down. I love roller coasters and won’t go to a theme park that doesn’t have them. However, you know that giant kashti-boat ride that swings in the air…can’t do that one. Fearing the grave is natural because it’s an unknown; I do as well. I find being underneath the ground less scarier than the idea of cremation because I’ve read the a dead person can still feel on some ghaibi level that we can’t understand…but that’s one thing we don’t have to worry about ![]()
Re: BOO!!!
No, I don’t fear elevators as long as I’m not in there for long. The length of time makes my fear come out as its not severe. Oh I hate crowded rooms. It’s a good thing you were near the exit.
I go on roller coasters and close my eyes all through the ride
but the last time I went, I decided to keep it open for at least a part of the ride. I hope to get over this fear as I want to wall climb and skydive some day.
The boat ride is terrible. It makes me vomit. I avoid it.
I started thinking about the grave after my brother passed away. The thought of burying a loved one, 6 feet under, all alone, the weight of the mud, the dark and cold, would tear my heart out. I couldn’t understand how the men could do it themselves. I can’t even imagine watching it, let alone participating in it. Anyway, that’s when I started fearing grave.Though now what makes me fear it is not knowing whether I’ll be able to answer the questions and be in peace over there or be punished.

Re: BOO!!!
Karaoke? Well, if a person’s singing sounds like nails on a chalkboard…then I can understand that, lol.
I’m not afraid of spiders and roaches. I kill them like a MAN (ie without bug spray). ![]()
But I is AFRAID of wasps and bees. I was pushing a friend in a wheelchair. ( She ended up in the wheelchair cuz of me). It was all because I wasn’t securely holding my end of the table that we both were planning to lift. Hence it fell on her toe. I decided that the best way to do penance for my mistake was to wheel her around Epcott. But then we passed by some bushes…bushes with wasps…wasps that were angry…angry at me…so I ran…almost into a tree. Wasn’t my proudest moment. But on a happies note: I didn’t get stung and friend missed that second RV-caused close call.
Churails. Somehow they are far more scarier than their male counterparts: the jinns.
Re: BOO!!!
I read an interview of a Bollywood director, Mahesh Bhatt. His mom was a Muslim and he said that he when it came time to burying her, he wanted to stay down there with her…he couldn’t bear the thought of leaving her alone. I’ve had similar thoughts…
Re: BOO!!!
I only fear ALLAH so damn much..
