does anyone here know how much does it hurt when bone marrow is extracted using needle?
Allah na karay kay anyone has to go through this process but if unfortunately you have gone through this process can you share tips or something???

r u asking about spinal fluid biopsy / spinal tab ............ it's a minor procedure and very safe and anesthesia medicine is given first to control pain and other problems.

Ansoon is talking about bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. Pain depends upon level of expertise, when i first started doing the procedure in my residency, i did cause lot of pain to patients, with passage of time, now, the patient only feels the pricks of local anesthetic injection. Its usually done in hip bone or sternum in adults. If you are talking bout knee area then perhaps the procedure needs to be done in a child, right?
