For me - I would say my Aunty who brought me up aka mum - have a better bond. I feel it an insult to define her as Aunty- she stayed up on late nights when i was ill, she woke up early in the morning to get me ready for school and walked me there, she helped me in my homework, she used wipe my tears when I was being bullied and went to school to sort out issues, she taught me how to cook, she taught me Islam, she taught me to be a kind person, she taught me to stand up for my rights as a women. I owe her everything. She helped shape me into the stubborn cow I am today LOL.

On top of it shes my best friend even though sometimes we do not agree, I never hold it against her. She is my mother, no one can take that away from her. My biological mother on the other hand has been absent from my life, I have seen her about 6 times in my life, and she went through a period of sending me birthday cards for about 5 birthdays and then got my telephone number from my brother (who keeps in touch and lives with her) and rings to be nosey about dad and his family etc or just to be insultive in a compliment way. You know a compliment wrapped in a insult. How fun those are. I am grateful for her bringing me into this world, and I don’t hold anything against her (such a lie… LOL) but I try my best to “deal with it” as best I can. Thats my two cents. Or in my case pounds worth.

What about ur dad, Was he around ?
