Sunni tehrik dont want provincial government to be involve in the investigation process.Sunni tehrik spokeman shazad munir on geo said that they want ISI and the MI to investigate blast.
The Sunni tehrik spokesman said that their leaders were getting threats for the last six months and the government didnot provide them any security.About 70 plus workers of sunni tehrik have been killed in the past year and a half and government failed to arrest the culprits

Karachi bomb blast: Investigation starts from the detained suspect

Karachi: In a major breakthrough, one suspect, Mohammad Hussain who was injured in the Nashtar Park’s alleged suicide bombing has been taken into custody and shifted to an unspecified location by the law and enforcement agencies on Wednesday.
Mohammad Hussain was reportedly being treated at Jinnah Hospital from where on the directions of intelligence agencies, Karachi police detained the suspect and shifted him to some secret location for interrogation.
Surprisingly, police has not registered any FIR of the deadliest incident and still waiting for any complainant for the said incident.
Giving justification for the delay of registration of the FIR for the deadliest incident, police said that local administration had issued written permission for Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi public gathering at Nishtar Park venue on the application of Shah Hasan Turrab-ul-Haq ,leader of Jammat-e-Ahle-Sunnat,. Therefore, police was waiting for the complainant from the applicant side, however if no one comes up as a complainant of the case the FIR would be registered in behalf of the state.
Police was preparing to register two FIR’s of the incident. The first under the relevant sections of suicide bombing, murder, attempt to murder, explosive act and terrorism act. And, the second FIR would be registered under the relevant section of violence, damaging government and private properties

Balochis have yet to use suicide bombing, so this is unlikely to be them. The Baloch terrorist techniques are primary car bombs, parcel bombs, landmines and rockets.
This appears to be none of the above.

The city is shut down for a few days for mourning, does anyone know if its happening all over Pak or just Khi? Coz i went out today and shoping places were closed but schools were open..

An estimated 100 people, including children, were injured in the attack, and at least ten are in critical condition. “The death toll has now risen to 57, while there are also reports that some people are still missing,” Sindh government spokesman Salahuddin Haider said.
On Tuesday, approximately 15,000 men and children headed for Nishtar Park at Numaish for Maghrib prayers after an Eid Miladun Nabi procession. A stage was set up at the front of the park where about five rows of top JAS leaders, including ST people, congregated. Thousands of other ST followers followed the prayers behind on the ground.
At about 7:00pm a suicide bomber came to the front of the stage during the third rakaat of Maghrib prayers and detonated explosives around his torso. About 150 men were on the stage at the time. The suicide bomber was believed to be closest to ST leader Abbas Qadri, who is usually accompanied by many guards.
According to the bomb disposal squad (BDS), the bomb weighed about five kilogrammes and consisted of locally made highly explosive material. BDS officials told Daily Times that they had cleared the area around the stage on Tuesday afternoon prior to the congregation, and this helped them later rule out that a bomb had been planted in the stage.
The report said the bomb was locally assembled and contained plastic explosives packed with small metal ball bearings which increased the lethality of the blast.

The Special Investigation Group (SIG) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) visited the site of the blast on Wednesday and collected forensic evidence. The team also visited the Edhi mortuary at Sohrab Goth and inspected the body of the man suspected of being the suicide bomber.
FIA sources said that the SIG’s preliminary report said the suspected suicide bomber had a beard and appeared to be in his mid-thirties. However, the report said that it was difficult to say anything about his ethnic background as stitching and surgery might have affected his facial features.

No one can deny there is a network of fanatics from kirkuk to karachi who believe in advancing their political agenda through terrorism and incitement by twisting certain extremist wahabi beliefs. These people would not blink an eye in killing a fellow wahabi let alone a barelvi or shia. Whether they are supported by foreign powers is not the main issue, the main issue is that Muslims are gullible enough to fall in their trap. We have to elimante our ability to be made fools into.
