Bomber attacks court in Pakistan

**At least five people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack outside a court in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials say.**More than 20 others were injured in the blast outside the court.

The bomber blew himself up at the gate to the court building after police stopped him, officials said.

Peshawar, near the Afghan border, has been targeted repeatedly since Pakistan sent its troops to fight the Taliban in South Waziristan.

Attacks across the country have soared since the operation began in the autumn.

On 28 October, at least 100 people were killed when a huge car bomb ripped through Peshawar’s busy Peepal Mandi market.
