Just before a rally was suppose to start at the place, a bomb blast occured next to High Court and GPO chowk. Please pray for those who have lost their lives and May Allah show Pakistan a bright day after it has seen these dark ones and may peace prevail in Pakistan and in other such parts of world. According to SSP Aftab Cheema, a suspicious motorcycle was coming towards Police. When they tried to stop him, he blew himself up.

According to Lahore Police Cheif Malik Iqbal, the person was neither in car nor on bike when he blew himself up.
Not too sure about exact time at this point. I'm guessing awhile ago.

This is not jihad by any form or fashion... we need to separate attacks like these from Jihad, that is the start.
THESE TYPES OF ATTACKS ARE *NOT **JIHAD. So, lets not LABEL these people as "*jihadists." Because with that we really help their "cause," as jihad is main aspect of Islam and I repeat, these attacks are not jihad of ANY type.

^ unfortunately, it was not a set time-bomb, it was a suicide bomb attached to a man who exactly knew when the bomb was going off.
If he wanted to attack the rally, he could do it precisely as in the case of Bhutto's assassination.

according to ARY, the bomber might have been 19-20 years, based on the head that's been found. he blew himself up according to the time it was predicted the rally would have been. ofcourse he didn't think about anything when he did it.

Sad... clearly, the ones to blame are:
1.** Media**
I have yet to see a MASS, top level campaign against suicide in Islam (assuming that these people believe that) and suicide bombings targeting OTHER *MUSLIMS*! Music, videos, concerts, aftermath of news events like these, they are good at that... but to dedicate enough time to combat and prevent attacks like these, media is the biggest culprit.
