You are quite right but now they are linked with each other. There are many previous organizations but gradually SWA became their HQ for being a rest and planning place. Now after SWA operation they are spread all over the country and desperate attacks are being conducted by them. This was a more effective attack by them otherwise most of the recent attacks were less effective.

pakistan need not worry about any significant blacklash if they go after all sunni sectarian groups. i fully support military and police action against every one of these groups.
a war on sectarian extremism is way different to americas war. as long as it is fought with clear and stated objectives it could be the golden moral operation pakistan needs to put all forms of extremism into a downward spiral
the worst thing this government can do is allow this issue to get mixed up with the americanWOT even if some of the operatives are involved in both.

I would again like to emphasize that this is not a sectarian conflict but a simple act of terrorism. It is the same terrorism which has engulfed the whole country in general.
These terrorists would kill anyone who disagrees with them regardless of religion. So even a sunni person is as much of a kafir to them as a shia, if that sunni person disagrees with them in anyway. This is why these terrorists were waging 'jihad' against sunni Tajiks in Afghanistan. And this is why they are waging jihad against Pakistan army and government.

Its been the bloodiest year for pakistan. The karachi blast reminded me of blasts in iraq few yrs back . these jihadi organizations are getting money from CIA mossad and raw to destablize pakistan and not to forget Black water presence in Pakistan.These satan forces are after our nuclear bomb. TTP have strong links with sectarian groups and also some Kashmiri jihadi tanzeems come from the same family. Mullah Omar also stayed in the same area and patronizes the same groups long before he was famous.
It is mind boggling that so many are so ignorant about the links.
The same few maulvis and maulanas in Binore town have been Godfathers of Talibans and created groups like the Sipah-e-Sahaba, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammad. Where do you think "Punjabi Taliban" came from?
When Talibans ruled Afghanistan, this is what they were doing to Shias there.
Anyone that supports Talibans - whether it is TTP or their Afghan relatives and tanzeems like the Jaish is effectively supporting sectarianism.

Second, and most importantly, to blame simply sectarian activists for this calamity sounds like belittling the issue. It is mucb much more and deeper than u fellas propound with all convictions here. Look at the havoc being played to the city. Around 2500 shops and 3 dozen and plus vhecles are said to have burnt. The city's economy, which serves to be the backbone of the national economy has faced a death blow indeed. The shops were broken open, looted and burned. Looks evidently as if it was a well planned game to creat upheavel and then aggrivate the situation by further acts of terrorism. The shopkeepers are crying, sobbing, seeing their possessions burning, helplessly. Now, there are multiple factorr involved much henious than shia sunni riots come on guys i dnt believe caught under this severe threat of terrorism, any shia or sunni is after each other's life. A small evidence was also found at moon market Lahore blast. Some people looted some shops and persons.
Shops and go-downs burnt are more than five thousand in Karachi. Loss of more than three billion.

true. as the latest news is coming out, this was a very well planned attacked and not the works of a deranged lone suicide bomber. almost the entire bolten market is destroyed, which is a commercial hub of all warehouses, who were these looters who came well prepared with flammables and destructive apparatus? this was not the works of a grieving mob as originally reported.
i have been reading some of the comments here and its ridiculous to think that shia protesters might be behind burning of over 2500 shops. i'd like to add that burning took place right after the blast and one shia alim did mention that azadars don't bring bucket of petrol with them to the jaloos. it was a well planned out attack to burn the shops. it was not a retaliation attack as some would suggest

What is happening in Pakistan is that there is a nexus forming of all extremist sunni groups from FATA, Punjab and Kashmir.
FATA uses Punjab based militants for gun attacks in Punjab and sends suicide bombers from FATA and uses Punjabi militants to transport them for attacks.
Pakistan needs to wage an all out war against these groups that it has nurtured to fight proxy wars with India.
