ISLAMABAD: A suicide bomber blew himself up while trying to enter the rear side of a five-star hotel here on Friday killing a security guard and injuring various others.
President Musharraf condemned the blast which occurred here in the rear parking of a five star hotel killing two people. He ordered the immediate probe into the blast.
He expressed the condolences for the bereaved.
Also the suicide bomber was killed in the blast.
According to witnesses, the security guard was killed while trying to stop the suicide bomber.
A number of vehicles in the nearby parking area were damaged. The police have cordoned off the area and started investigation.
The powerful blast caused damage to the vehicles parked in the parking area located on the backside of a five star hotel.
The six injured have been rushed to the Poly Clinic here. An injured person is in critical condition.
It should also be noted that a blast occurred some time back in the lobby of the same hotel.
High alert has been declared in Karachi and Peshawar, while a red alert has been announced in other sensitive areas of the federal capital.
