I don't mind the whole having a special song to make your entrance. We keep things more simple in my family so that means no amateur or professional/hired dance performances (least not from our end), no ott speeches or slide shows, no bride making her entry on a hoisted pillow, no ice sculptures, lol.
I like that Covid has led to weddings becoming smaller affairs. Less people, less expenses, and most importantly....less drama. Invite your nearest and dearest and whomever you feel is sincerest (that rhymes) and exclude all other nosy-fake-toxic- busy bodies.

To each their own. Quiet a few women out there who have spent all their lives picturing their big day to be in a certain style or theme, and in some instances with their families being onboard all along. As much as I may find it to be a waste of money, I still think its meant to be much more to the people who're doing what they're out there doing
Sam’s brother is marrying a top celebrity in Pak, they are going to be secretive for now. I can’t believe Sam had such a hard time getting Pak Visa. She got it now. I adviced against the union and her going there. Her digestion is very funky.
Funny how people in same family can be so different. She gave a lawyer 1000 bucks to do our Nikah on FaceTime lives simple and her brother lives like a prince.
I bet eventually they will have a spectacular wedding, which Is not my style.
Sam will make me watch a drama she is starting in. She talks to Sam, texts her. Sam says she is polite and cultured.

The lockdowns made getting married incredibly easy for lots of people. I wish that trend gains traction. It not only helped middle class families but also celebrities, who formed a bee line to get married with a handful of people. Unfortunately there is a Billion dollar industry in Pakistan that will never let that happen.

It definitely is easy dealing with satans then be dealing with cartoons though 
I'd be lying if I said they weren't adorable but...all such showcasing leaves you drained and unable to feel true joy that comes with letting things roll out on their own.
