Born in Kabul to a Pashtun Father and Baluchi Mother, Kader Khan spent his early childhood in Quetta, Pakistan. He later moved to India and completed his Master’s in Engineering, Bombay Uni.
Lotay, did you read about how very few people from the film fraternity offered condolences? What goes around comes around. Sometimes I think that those who are on top today may be met with a similar indifference when it comes time to their own funerals.
Kader Khan shared a story of the reason behind the fallout between him and Amitabh Bachan. The latter was referred to as "sir ji," but Kader Khan always addressed him as "Amit" as he considered him a friend. Supposedly something this petty strained their relationship and it led to Khan walking out of several projects. Interestingly, Abhishek Bachan is not swimming in film projects either. If there's any truth to this story, it's a poor reflection on "Amit." Tsk, tsk, tut, tut, tut.
^^ Interesting. Money and fame indeed changes people. Or rather brings out their true personalities. I watched that interview in which Qadir Khan was upset with Amitabh Bachan's arrogance. Anyway, I was pleased to see Amitabh Bachan's tweet on Qadir Khan's death. Qadir Khan fondly remembered Amitabh Bachan the most during his last days. It seems like Amitabh Bachan thought that Qadir Khan became jealous and wanted the spotlight, while Qadir Khan thought Amitabh Bachan became super arrogant.
Qadir Khan was known because he also acted. Because if he would've only been a script writer, not many would have even known about him just like countless other script writers. There have been so many Urdu poets who wrote some of the greatest Bollywood hit songs but hardly anyone knows their name.
