wow theres some major bolly fans out ere. Nywa im sayin ghajini took bits from Bourne trilogy, the way matt damon uses photographs. yes its a copy of memento. Bolly films seem to add their own sleaze factor to the remakes, as in breaking into songs every 5 mins

Bollywood directors are biggest chappo around the globe.

however paralell cenima is gud . but very few ppl like art movie. i think Manesh Jha rocks.

Actually if you consider Munna bhai an original movie then you are wrong! Munna Bhai itself is based on the 1998 hollywood movie titled Patch Adams, which depicts the trule life story of Patch Adams. Dont even say that Munna Bhai is being copied when the movie itself is a copy!!

Have you seen Memento?? If you have then you will know that Guy Ritichie's character uses photos right out of a polaroid camera, to remember people and places!! In Bourne Matt Damon does use photos but in a very different way, to remember his past not what he has to do on a daily basis like picture of his house or something! Are you getting what i am saying? I am just trying to clarify that it is not copying bourne but Memento.

^^Erm....yes i have seen Memento.....n yes i get what u sayin. Sorry for offending you n ur cherished memories of Memento!

I mentioned Bourne cos almost evry1 has seen it, wasnt sure if ppl remembered Memento...both movies use photos for diff conditions. BTW if we are giving such attention to detail i will let u know for a fact that Guy Pearce stars in the film not Guy Ritchie.

I have seen momento.

If india releases 20 movies a month, 18 are coppied from hollywood and other woods like Irani, kenyan (remember Atif’s song) Arabic etc etc. We only come to know about hollywood ones coz we see english moives. The day we started watching other countries movies too, then u will know that remaining 2 movies (out of 20) were coppied from those places. samjhay ke nahin samjhay

and tell u something interesting… Once we were watching a PTV show, some awards show and Daleep Kumar was invited to that as well. Moeen Akhtar was the host. he as usual did an excellent job. After few months there was an indian award show and we were watching this one too. to our surprise we already knew the whole comparing the hosts were doing. coz They were sayig EXACT SAME WORDS WHICH MOIEEN AKHTAR SAID IN HIS SHOW ON PTV .. that was soo hillarious…

Well Partner was a copy of the will smith starrer "Hitch" It was the SAME with a fat guy playing govinda and will smith being the advisor

I apologize for being rude but i am not defending Ghajini or anything if that is what you think. I just wanted to say that Bourne can not be compared to Ghajini in the same way as Memento! And yes i meant Guy Pearce not Guy Ritchie!

Oh yeh i also heard that Baghban is a scene-by-scene copy of some pakistani classic film, i mean dialogue has been copied word for word. Does anyone know the name of the pakistani film?

Actually no, Patch Adams is completely different. For starters, the protagonist in Patch Adams is actually a doctor while in Munnabhai he is just pretending to be one. The entire premise is different.

Basing off of a movie doesnt mean they have to make it exaclty the same. The scene after the death of that muslim character! and also a lot of the things are similar if not the same, which i think is because Hirani had this movie in mind when scripting Munna Bhai so thats what i wanted to tell you. How are you saying Hollywood is copying Munna Bhai is out of my understanding!
