Re: Bold Prediction Texans Over Pats

:rotfl::rotfl: Wait till Sheraz CT comes. :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, they did perform well, they took it to OT :k:

Hey it does not matter if Sheraz Ct comes here or not. Asif, did you watch the game? I am not going to make any excuses, Texans had plenty of chances to win the game out right. They did not take advantage of those situations and paid the price. You cannot let a good team hang around like that. Texans showed a lot of heart and courage. Congratulations to Pats on not so well deserved win. I am sure they will be sending a thank you note to the ref who threw the holding flag in overtime when brady was intercepted.

Yeah Kaleem - Every time the Pats win its because of the Refs and not because they play better than the losing team.

You are making me like the Brady bunch yaar. :D

keep predicting against the patriots and they will keep winning..i wouldnt want any other qb if the game was on the line..damn the kid is good

atleast they played better than the titans..who were lucky to beat the lousy falcons

Sheraz, you must have lost your mind. Titans were down, 21-0..they lost Mcnair and still managed to win the game handily. Your team needed overtime and a bad ref call to win the game. I will give pats credit for hanging tough. They moved the ball pretty well between the 20s, but texans stopped them from scoring touchdowns. Admit it, your team was lucky to win this game.

Asif, like I said before, you can like which ever team you want. Titans are going all the way.
I am just curious, did you even watch the game. If you did you would not have made the comment about blaming the ref. Read my post again, I did not balme the ref, I said that Pats got the help. Of course they played a little better than Texans...that is why they won. They could have won the game without that bad call too....but it just makes you wonder...these pats are living on borrowed time.

Did you even watch the match?
I don't think so!

Pats barely won and thanks to a very bad call by the ref.
I am with Kaleem in this one.

The mighty Patriots had a hard time against a novice Houston team.

Kaleem you should stick with the Titans. :stuck_out_tongue:

my my what a game they had against Falcons - 21-point deficit in a 38-31 victory - it was the upset game of the week IMO - maybe Falcons shouldn’t take lead in the 1st half? i mean COME ON - they lost 5 straight games by overconfidence - too much init? :hehe:

Kaleem, Close or not. What difference does it make. At the end Patriots won the game and that's what counts. Ever tried looking at TITAN's Last game against Jaguars, they were lucky as well. :D

And no I didn't watch the game, I had better things to do.But it's not going to change the fact that PAT's are doing well despite injury to some of the Key players.

Umair - Houston's aren't a bad team at least not as bad as Jaguars. They have beaten some good teams like Caolina,Miami etc.

i had no doubt in my mind that the pats would win the game..3 of their top WR were OUT..and another one was playig hurt..still brady threw for over 350 yrds
like asif said, houston has beaten some good teams like miami and carolina

Asif, its good that you had better things to do, however, it leaves your comments regarding the game baseless and without merit. I was speaking about a particular play in the game which you have no knowledge about, so you should refrain from commenting on that play at least if not the game.

Of course, I watched Titans game against Jaguars. Were they lucky yes. This thread is not about the Titans, its about Pats getting a break via the refs (again I must add). Enjoy rooting for the Pats while they can still pull of some stunts and get help from refs. :D

The Patriots outgained the Texans 472 yards to 169, and 29 1st downs to 11. They are are the hottest team in football right now. They are 9-2 for the first time in their history in spite of a rash of injuries to key players. Tom Brady is Mr. Clutch, 7-0 in overtime and 19-4 in games after Nov. 1. When the chips are down and it matters most - they win. Belichick is a genious and their defense has been awesome. It's obvious these accomplishments cannot be attributed to luck and/or help from the refs.

No one is arguing about Pats accomplishments. Of course the statistics you quoted are impressive but they do not tell the whole story. There are many plays in the game that can decide the game one way or the other. One of those play...Texans not being able to score a TD in the first quarter. Second ref calling a holding penalty on a pass play when the reciever was not even touched...and OH BTW Mr. Clutch was intercepted on that play. Also, Mr. Clutch fumbled the bowl too in the game against Raiders 2 years ago.
You want to talk about injuries, have you looked at the list of Texans that are missing from their defense. So stop crying about the injuries...every team has injured players. Yeah, Bill Jr is a genious..why was he fired from Cleveland Job? How come Mr. Genious leave Jets on the altar...says a lot about a man's integrity. Does'nt it? He has a personality of a Sofa.
The record you quoted Brady being " 7-0 in overtime " ...last I checked Football was a team game. I did not know that Brady played defense and special teams as well.:D

Ok, the Pats are 8-0 in their last 8 overtime games. An even more impressive stat. I'm not whining about anything. I'm stating the fact that the Patriots have had more than an average number of injuries this season which makes their 9-2 start all the more impressive. Besides winners don't whine. Whining would be complaining about penalty calls, especially when that team was totally outplayed. Belichick's personality aside, he is universally accepted as a defensive genious and has the respect of his players. I don't pretend to know all the facts regarding his departure from the Jets, I'm just glad he left.

Kaleem - Bad calls, Refs, weather, fumble etc are all part and parcel of the Game. Sometimes it's in your favour sometimes against you. You can not take that factor away from the game. Only losers look for excuses.

Tom Brady is not the first QB to fumble neither are PATs first team to get a favorable call. Whatever you call Bellichick but the fact remains that He is a genius and a great Coach.

^^ Asif, I will accept that argument from some one who has watched the games.
Of course when the calls go in your favor you are not going to say anything about it. The question is did he throw an interception at a crucial moment? Yes he did. It was only reversed because of some line judge calling a hold on a defensive back who at best grazed the reciever. Plus that reciever was not even the intended reciever. Good teams make their own breaks, they dont rely on the refs for crucial calls like Pats do. Nothing will give me more pleasure than to see Pats go down in Flames so we can all put this Brady bunch hype behind us.

Kaleem - You accept it or not, It doesn't make any difference. Fact remains that - Pats won the game. Texans got couple of chances in overtime one at Pat's 35 yard, but they couldn't convert that into a field goal and they paid the price.

Talking about Ref's mistake, the other day there was another big mistake in Seattle-Baltimore game because of some clock settings Ravens got some 35 seconds more, they capitalized on it and went on to win the game. Fortune favours the brave. :)

Oh & BTW - I couldn't care less about Patriots Season.
