Body Suspension: DON'T READ THIS!!!

This article almost made me want to throw up. Listen to one nuts comment.
** “The first couple of times, I didn’t enjoy it,” said Canadian Warren Hiller. “The first time I blacked out, and one time I was convulsing. But the third time I got better. I wasn’t blacking out anymore.” **
WHY??? You bl;ack out the first time AND YOU GO BACK AGAIN? Then you go into convulsions but go back for a third try???

EXCERPTS:

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Reuters) - Tony Troiano grimaced as he was lifted off the floor by giant fishhooks pierced through the skin on his shoulders.

Within minutes, he started to spin, swing his feet and declare the painful experience “the greatest thing” ever.

“I was on Cloud Nine,” the Wethersfield, Connecticut teenager said as he joined fellow body suspension practitioners at an annual convention over the weekend. “It was euphoric. It was spiritual. I’d do it again today if I wasn’t so sore.”

“Ever stand up too fast and feel like you’re about to pass out?” said Dave Post, of Albany, New York explaining why he liked hanging from hooks. “It’s like you’re stuck at that point.”

The practice requires three-inch (7.6-cm) steel deep sea fishing hooks freshly inserted under the skin for each suspension.

A basic “suicide” hang uses hooks in the back, a chest suspension requires hooks in front, a knee suspension puts the body upside down, and the “Superman” pose requires hooks along the back and upper thighs. The hooks are attached to ropes, and pulleys slowly lift the body off the floor.

Some people spin like acrobats, some play like children on a swing and others hang solemnly. Some giggle, some cry.

“Some people have a spiritual experience, some people just have fun and some people don’t like it and come right down,” said Mike Giossi, a local mechanic and fan of the practice. Jess Robins, a student from Canada, hung almost motionless from hooks inserted through the tops of her breasts. Blood poured down her belly, and her legs trembled.

Re: Body Suspension: DON'T READ THIS!!!

I love that feeling. When you're so dizzy that you feel like you're going to throw up and the bile inches its way up your throat and then stops. And then every sense is heighened. You can hear your heart beat, feeling every muscle clench and unclench, your eyes like a camera taking an eternity to traverse the landscape in front of you. Everything is a blur but you have never felt more lucid in you life. Your mind isn't in your body anymore. You can see your body still in shock.

Love that. But I wouldn't ever go for suspension to get that high. There are some natural un-messed ways to get it.

Re: Body Suspension: DON’T READ THIS!!!

^ i know..all u gotta do is play dizzy ducklings and sing “im so dizzy” at the same time :mudhosh:

Re: Body Suspension: DON'T READ THIS!!!

Nah. The seconds after you get off of a roller coaster. Seconds after you've been hurt badly but the pain hasn't hit you yet. I can induce it by consciously willing my mind to do that while doing something as commonplace as walking through a hallway in school at night. Love the outer body experience.

Re: Body Suspension: DON’T READ THIS!!!

^ On a serious note, these people are psycho and need help. I used to be one of them. I liked to hurt myself, because it gave me relief. It didn’t even hurt a bit and I seemed to want more every time I made an attempt to torture myself. I don’t know why I was like that, but after my parents found out what I did with my left arm, they grounded me until the cuts all over my arm got lighter. :bummer: I was taken to a psychiatrist then to a counselor. A lot of BS happened afterwards. No rehabs though! Of course I wasn’t on drugs or anything. Sometimes I wonder why I did what I did. :konfused:
