Bob picked up the team when it was in shambles after the loss to India. He was picked on by the ex-coach non stop. Yet he never said anything bad about them either. He did express frustration that he needed a little time to adjust he cant perform miracles.
The defeat to Ireland could not be termed as Bob's fault. A coach can merely prepare you, you still have to go out there and apply yourself. It was a greentop and out batsman got exposed.
The whole cricketing world is poorer today. Just listen to Bob's tv interviews. He always came across as humble and polite. He was one of the most sought after coaches and still had time to interact with his fans via his website. He wasnt a muslim himself but respected the religion of Pakistan cricket team, infact he went on record that the religion bonds the team togather.
Very sad and shocking news. May Allah give his family patience to deal with this loss.
