Board games

I want to play some board games with my kids, but the problem is my daugter is 8 and son is 4. So suggest some that will work for both of them.

Re: Board games

chutes and ladders is really good. Kids enjoy that and its simple.

Thanks I'll try that one.:)

Re: Board games

That is the same as snake and ladders on the flip side of Luddo, that we used to play as kids

Re: Board games

Ludo, all the way!

Re: Board games

^ But that is bit complicated for a 4 yrs old.

Re: Board games

**snake N ladder...its usually on the other side of the ludo.

also, try kids pic card games**

Luddo and Karem board are such nice games.:) My kids play luddo already but I want to discover some more. Ofcourse we cannot play Monopoly as it is to hard or the little one and its toooooooo long.

Re: Board games

How about Pictionary? That is a fun game.

Pistionary ok I'll look these 2 right now. Thanks

Re: Board games

My younger cousins are around that age as well, and they really enjoy playing board games. We play like TLK mentioned snakes and Ladders, Luddo, as well as Guess who, the kids version of monopoly, candyland, connect four, perfection, trouble..thats all i can think of at the moment!
When i was younger i remember playing hungry hungry hippo and operation :P

Re: Board games

We have a store in the mall that carries all sorts of board games for all group ages. I don't remember the name of it (gamestop I think?) but it's like wonderland for everyone.. haha. I think they are having their sale right now too.

Re: Board games

GameStop is a chain store that buys and sells used video games.

I think CandyLand is a game that little kids always love, its very easy and simple to play. GuessWho is another one. My 5 year old niece also likes games like Dora Memory and Dora ISpy. Twister, Connect4, Trouble, Sorry are also examples of simple games for kids

Also, alot of adult games have kiddie versions, like Monopoly, Pictionary, Cranium etc

Re: Board games

what about card games like Uno? and Charades is always fun for everyone and its interesting to see how kids interpret the titles. we played with my husband's 6 year old niece this christmas and it was the funniest/cutest thing ever trying to watch her act out Snow White.

Re: Board games

Connect 4 :)

Re: Board games

^Totally! I play connect 4 with my 6 year old neice and 4 year old nephew all the time!

Re: Board games

We play 20 questions when we are driving. One person thinks of something (we usually think of a person to make it easy for kids) and rest of family tries to guess by asking only YES or NO question.

My 3 1/2 yrs old is hilarious. No matter whom you think of, these are her first 3 standard questions.

  1. Is she a girl?
  2. Is she cute
  3. Is that me?

just to make her feel good, everynow and then we say yes to all the questions ...

Re: Board games

TABBOOOOO

wait thats not really a board game

Re: Board games

We play UNO (card game)
