Blusher

Hi girls, hoping you can suggest your favourite blusher product. I tend to opt for ‘dirty’ brownish colours which make me look really dull and sanwali. I need a blusher to brighten my face whilst contouring it. Which blusher brand and colour would you girls recommend?

Hi Tania,

I like to use Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in the color cloud wine, which suits desi people who have a tan/dark complexion or yellow/golden undertones to their skin. Have you tried it before?

I like it because it's not heavy or too dark. I find it gives a natural rosy shimmer to brighten up your overall look and doesn't appear overdone.

The brand also has other blush colors you can try, including a bronze color if you want to give yourself a bronze/dusky glow.

"Cupcake" by Clinique is a versatile color.. always have a pink, brown/copper blush if u happen to be sanwali :) U can wear the pink one with whites, purples, pinks, blues and the copper one with yellow, orange, brown, black, green!

Im in love with this pink one I have from Estee Lauder. Duno what its called but it gives an amazing color to my cheeks since I have a very pale Egyptian skin.

If not pink I use Napoleon's Mosaic Bronzer to add a bit of warmth

Thanks girls. I haven't used any of the blushers you all have mentioned so will hunt them down tomorrow :)

I wouldn't really class myself as sanwali but the blusher colours I have been using can make me look darker than I am.

Dont think its making you look dark, I think its just contouring your face so maybe if you arent happy with that look change the place you apply the blush at.

Different cheekbones require different strokes, not everyone can dab some blush on the apple of their cheeks, it just doesnt work.

I brought a nice peacy blush today from bobbi brown called “Coral” but haven’t yet tried it out, so will get back to you on how it is, otherwise i use Mac “Frankley scarlett” which is amazing and also Mac’s Mineralized blushers are good too. i use a clinique one too which is nice, but cant remember the name:bummer:

I got Orgasm from NARS and really liked it. Just a word of caution, I heard so many great things about Luster from NARS so I bought that as well. But don't like it at all.
