Blurring the lines between right and wrong...a new trend

This.

:hinna: It makes me realise this will never stop no matter how much we debate about it. Its been going on for centuries and it will continue to do so… next thing u know, wearing a hijab is also haram… sighh..

isn’t that the case in Turkey? the state that the so-called educated Pakistani elite look up to…

Belgium has banned niqab. My province is passing bills left n right about banning niqab. It’s coming, we Muslims called for it, that’s for SURE!

but i didn't do anything .... :( neither did 90% of the rest of the muslims in this world!

Illegal immigration, because you are only breaking a "non-muslim" country's laws and you are financially distressed in the home "Islamic country".

Instead of preaching to others what's Halal or Haram, try using your common sense. If your action leads to unwanted consequences, you should refrain from it. If something hurts your loved ones, your health, or anyone around you, you SHOULD not do it, period!

The way I see it, this whole halal & haram debate is so that you could live your life without making it anymore difficult than it is for yourself and those around you. This does not mean you never step outside of Masjid because you are bound to do something that somebody considers Haram. There will always be people telling you so and so is haram but in the end, it's your call.

^ Preaching halal and haram?

In the same way, can I not say that ur preaching ur ideas of common sense too?

Ofcourse, we all know, at the end of the day its up to the person, but the point being made is NOT to justify the haram things.

If u (i'm not referring to u MN) want to drink alcohol, go do so by all means, but if a muslim person sees u and says "brother/sister, u know this is haram yeah?" then don't eat them up, just say "yes, I know its haram but i still chose to drink it." Full stop. No need to give false justifications or make excuses. The only excuse allowed here is that "I don't believe in this religion". But then it wouldn't really be an excuse, it would be a reason. A valid reason for u to drink.

Summary: There is no excuse when it comes to haram things.

Re: Blurring the lines between right and wrong...a new trend

So is outside chicken/beef haram? I eat outside because its hard to get to the halal meat shop.

I thought its one of those things that are not haram but its better if you CAN get halal meat. right? or am i also just drawing a blurry line for myself?

^ Yes u r.

Its not like you were dying of starvation and the only thing available to u was haram meat.

Alcohol is ok to drink, for example, when ur stuck in a dessert and there's no water or any other drink to be seen anywhere, u have no hope of getting rescued soon, and the only thing that u have is a bottle of vodka... well then, drink away if it saves ur life.

Such extreme cases is when something haram (does not become halal) but ok to eat/drink. Because Allah swt knows all intentions.
