i have bluetooth on my laptop and whenever i’m at an airport or what not i can see a whole buncha bluetooth devices in range. is there any particular software where i can sms these devices? pdas, cell fones… msg them right from my laptop
i guess it would be fun while waiting for my flights! i fly 2 times with 2 connections on each flight.. so i wait around in the terminals alot.. have nothing better to do

:) lemme put it this way... when you send sms it uses your service providers message centre... and it is not delievered by bluetooth... so there is NO way to send an SMS or txt message to other bluetooth devices. Even if it was possible (sending messages to other bluetooth devices) then you can't do it because the devices must be coupled before sending the message. some stupid people do leave their devices open to accept any trx but that is not wise thing to do. Just out of curiosity, why on earth you want to send sms messages to some rendom people!!!!

I also recently heard of some software out there that can crash car systems that were BT enabled.
Also, a few weeks ago there was episode of CSI Miami where this dude was in some club and they were using some sort of messaging to meet with people and it only worked in close proximity, so might have been BT. But i was sleepy at the time and did not pay any heed to it.
