So, I don’t use a bluetooth but my dad uses it extensively. He has a Motorola bluetooth headset that was working fine but then it started to work on and off. Now it seems to not work at all. He can hear the person on the other side but they can’t hear him. I also tried a samsung bluetooth and same problem. Restarting the phone makes the bluetooth work for a day or so and then its back to the same problem. I even did a factory restore which fixed the problem for about a week. Now at this time the Motorola bluetooth is not working. I will be trying the samsung once again but I don’t expect it to work either. Funny thing is it works on my phone fine but I think it might be because it used to work on my dads phone so eventually it won’t work on mine either.
Anyone know whats going? What could be the problem? I made sure all the settings were same on both our phones.
Re: Bluetooth Headset not working with Samsung Galaxy S3
For now I restarted the phone and both headsets started working (motorola and samsung) but like I said it stops working after a day or two. No idea what is going on here.
Re: Bluetooth Headset not working with Samsung Galaxy S3
Have you tried the setting gear wheel when u turn the bluetooth on your phone and the physical device. Both call and media should be clicked. Also, does he have any app that may be interfering with the settings?
Ninja, looking at mine and CDG’s threads, you should know that we are avid users of our phones and we like to fix our problems.
Re: Bluetooth Headset not working with Samsung Galaxy S3
Acha. Well see if it stops working again tomorrow then we’ll troubleshoot. Mine works great. I have a basic Jabra one. Tariq had a fancy one that he left in his suit coat pocket. The dry cleaners were kind enough to rescue it and put it in a small envelope attached to his suit. I tell him, hey you left your bluetooth, it’s in the envelope, your suit’s in your closet. The dude opens his closet, pulls the envelope off and trashes it. So these days he’s using my Jabra, as I’m planning to get myself a better device. I need new headphones as well so I’m “looking.” He on the other hand, is grounded from buying anymore blue"teeth".
