Well you should have some kind of Blue tooth software installed on ur laptop when u bought it. Turn B'tooth ON on your phone & then in laptop run the scan & it should see ur phone. Its actually pretty easy. Alternatively ur Phone should see ur laptop.
Usually on newer laptops they have a physical switch to enable wifi/BT connectivity. Once you turn that switch on there's either a key combination (e.g. FN + F5) or there might be a software icon in the system tray (where the date is) that you can right click and enable BT.
I am still unable to activate the Bluetooth system. I haven't really gone through the manual completely but I guess I need to do so now. Anyways, I really appreciate your responses.
tell me too..
i have a dell laptop and it has the thingy for bluetooth on it..i just dont know how to connect my bluetooth with it..telllll me someone too plzz
M115-S3094 does NOT come with bluetooth technology. In order for you to use bluetooth in that, you are gonna have to buy a bluetooth adaptor which is around 20-30 bucks in the market.
Firstly, thanks to everyone for their nice information
Ok Shoaib, there's a on/off switch for the Bluetooth already in my laptop. Doesn't it suppose to mean that it's Bluetooth capable? I went to the Bluetooth Installation guide and it says that I need to download a "Bluetooth Driver" from toshiba's website. Is it necessary or do I need to buy the "Bluetooth Dongle"?
Thanks,
Umer
I read the specifications with a keen eye for the "first time" and you guys are spot on that Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094 doesn't have bluetooth built in. Rather, it is bluetooth capable.
What I want to know is that there's ton of bluetooth software already installed in the laptop from Toshiba? Upon buying the bluetooth dongle, do I need to delete all that? I'm looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Umer
Well when u buy a dongle see if u can make it work with the software installed already (it may not) - if no then surely u will get a CD with the Dongle u can always use the provided software that I am sure works because I am using a dongle similar to the one I posted above.
u dont really need to uninstall those softwares that came with ur computer, jz in case u mite need them. i'd say jz get the bluetooth adaptor and u should be okay then.
Najim and Shoaib,
I'm grateful for your great input. Infact, I'll buy the bluetooth dongle soon and see if I need the "pre-installed" software or the CD with the dongle might be self-sufficient.
You guys sorted out my problem with excellent feedbacks and I'm appreciative of your help.
Thanks,
Umer
