u’ll have to reinstall everything though
btw y dont u install windows 7 64 bit
it’ll recognize ur extra memory and its way better than vista 
RTM is available everywhere

Vista is on my other HDD.

guys , im having the exact same problem. I tried to re-install windows xp on my desktop computer and it formatted my C drive and now when the process of installing devices comes up.. right after some time the blue screen appears..
what do i do?? im stuck now.. i have formatted my drive and now my stupid pc isnt re-installin xp :(

Have you tried to do it again? Try to reformat and do it again!
