Hi ladies,
I have a saree that I purchased a few years ago and saved it for my wedding trousseau. It came with a pink chiffon blouse with work on the sleeves and the back but I don’t like it..kind of ‘aunti’esh’ IMO. I am thinking of the following and need your help:
Cream Chiffon jamavaar with small silver specs – with elbow length sleeves, wide neckline
Cream raw silk blouse with 5-inch sleeves, round neckline (kinda wide too) with pink edges
Pink chiffon jamavaar blouse with 5-inch sleeves and silver edges
What do you guys think? I’m kind of leaning towards the cream because I don’t want to show skin and I think having a cream blouse will camouflage under the chiffon.
I’m open to any other suggestions as well! Thank you
^ thank you! I'm also thinking Cream chiffon jamavaar blouse with small silver specs, round neckline and super fitted chooridaar sleeves.
I like the first one and the ^above option. The cream with silver specs and wide neckline is a very simple but elegant/classy look. The neckline shouldn't be deep...................BUT.............I believe that wide round or square necklines are very attractive. Because it shows more of your neck and collar bones.......plus these two necklines are always slimming and flatter most figures.........AND.......you have enough room to show off a classy choker/necklace :)
if you dont want to show skin, i recommend getting the blouse made from raw silk. cream would be a better option since it looks like the top portion of the pallu is cream as well.
I have a saree in same colours and went with a pink raw silk blouse because the pullu was offwhite so it looked nice . I say go for Pink jamavaar blouse .
^ I have heard that the blouse colour should match the colour that is on the part of sari close to neckline/upper part. So,for a shaded sari like this,if the upper shade is offwhite, the blouse would be matched to it. Ofcourse this is not a rule but this is what i know
Thanks for the responses ladies, truly appreciate your ideas and comments!
Seems like it's 50/50 between CREAM chiffon jamavaar with elbow length sleeves and chiffon jamavaar with short sleeves--pink pipings on both. As RV suggested, wide necklines look nice with sarees, it'll be round and wide but not too deep...8 inches should be enough.
i think border is pink so blouse should come in contrast with the upperhalf portion of sari which is creamy....
blouse should b pink with light silvery work on it
