Blood sugar

What is the best method to control you blood sugar?

I’ve a history of family diabetic and plus a condition where I’m taking some medicine which is elevating my blood sugar/glucose.

My blood sugar was 6 mmol/l last time it was checked

Re: Blood sugar

diet, exercise, medication

your readings should ideally be 4-7 before meals and 5-10 after the meals. morning reading should be between around 5 [ideally!]

you should see a nutritionist/Dietitian who will advise you of how many units of food you should be taking.

avoid foods with high Glycemic index. avoid carb on carb.

i think that's enuf for for you to digest for now :D

Re: Blood sugar

Diet....cutting out sugars and limiting carbohydrates.

Re: Blood sugar

I love carbs and sugar :(

Re: Blood sugar

yeah. :(

Re: Blood sugar

Sweetmoi 6 is within the healthy range so don't be worried. Since you do have a family history and want to be careful just watch your diet. A healthy balanced diet which isn't too high in carbs like our typical desi diet is. You don't need to see a dietitain/nutritionist because you don't have diabetes or even prediabetes.

Yep good advice on Glycemic index but sweetmoi doesn't need to count carb units that's meant for someone with a diabetes diagnosis. Sweetmoi just google Glycemic Index(GI) and eat foods with a low GI number.

Re: Blood sugar

But isnt it just recently they moved the end range from 6 to 7 mmol/l?

Thank you all, I will google GI

Carbs my friends, tata :(
