at the training day today…they showed us how to measure BP and do diabetes tests.

anyway, they measured my BP and the woman said I was VERY healthy…cuz it was EXACTLY at the level it shouldve been at. she was so surprised to see such a close fit with the ideal results :hula:

80-90% ppl’s BP is the same as it should have :silly: 80-120 that is.

My family's blessed with Hypertensiveness and high cholesterol from both my father and my mother's side. My Mom's a Diabetic also.

At 21, I've got the former two. Aggay Allah maalik e ! :)

somethings are genetic - but in my case it wasnt true
Father was a diabetic - mother has severe asthema

Al Hamd ul Illah - there are no symptoms of either till now

your age ? , I mean ( i am assuming you are young under 25) BP shouldnt be otherwise. so thats good.

mine was 73/102

thats both numbers …sys and dys.

80-120 is still high :stuck_out_tongue:

your’s comes in the upper range…its almost on the borderline between “normal” and the “upper range of normal” (im just checking my chart right now)..

the advise I would give to you as a pharmacist would be “re-check in a year and take some lifestyle advice” :slight_smile:

high blood pressure is defined as blood pressure greater than 140/90mmHg.

yeah u have to wear it around ur upper arm…but make sure u dont wear it too tight.

having blood pressure check hurts :frowning: the thing that measures it…the arm band …it goes really tight when it starts measuring it and my hand felt weird afterwards. im surprised that in itself didnt make my BP high :rolleyes:

anyway, back to your point, having a low BP is also bad. there was one guy in our group who’s lower number was very low…around 50…and the woman looked really worried about him…she said he needs to get it checked by doctor cuz thats not normal…its also bad to be hypotensive.
