Blood Group - Resus Neg

After my appointment at 20 weeks on Friday, the midwife told me I was a rare blood group Resus Neg.

Is any1 else this type of blood group and did or has it affected you in anyway during your pregnancy.

The midwife explained everything, which I understood but thinking back it sounds scary!

Its not scary.. it's in fact more common than you think, my mom and my sister are Rh negative.. I am not!

They will give you a rhogam shot at about 28 weeks of pregnancy and then after the childbirth. My sister had four kids and no complications alhamdulillah.. she just got her shots right after the delivery.

I am booked for an Anti D injetion in a couple of weeks and then 1 after birth.

If u dont mind me asking was ur sisters baby the same blood group as her?

i am rhesus negative and was given anti d shots at 28 wks and after delieveries as both of my children r rhesus positve , its not a thing to worry abt as long as u take your anti d injections
