hey peeps.. i’ve been noticing blood comin outta my gums when i brush..i’ve tried sensitive toothpastes, also tried changing my toothbrush, but the problem persist.
any idea whats causing this?.. anything in diet that im lacking in?..

You need to see a periodontist. It's gum disease (simply means your gums are weak and need some professional help). Nothing to worry about. Your dentist might give you a referral.

what did ur periodontist do?.. did s/he give u some sort of medicine to overcome this prob?
It cud be gingivitis.. u prolly just need plaque removal and scaling :)

neem ki muswak is best for your problem but you might be able to get daburs tooth paste with neem. hope it will stop your gums bleeding

No - no meds. You are drugged up with heavy dosage of local anesthesia. I really did not feel anything so I don't know what she did after that :(
They work on your gums - removing the bad I guess? I know they were cutting off and lining up so your gums look great once you are done. Sorry I don't know what exactly is done.
They just clean out u're gums..by scaling them (remove the build-up) it's not very painful.. just slightly uncomfy that's all! But don't neglect bleeding gums..

Dude, no brushing niswaak shiswaak! I know somoene who had this. Its called periodontal gum disease! Its dangerous and what they do for treatment is root scaling and planing, dont worry its a simple procedure, they basically go below the gum line and clean your teeth. Before that, they'll find pockets using a device called a periodontal probe. You'll have to get one quadrant cleaned every visit. Take care of it now, because you could lose your teeth in future if you dont.

i had the same problem and my dentist did scaling and prescribed gum strengthnenign toothpaste
so u better go and see ur dentist ASAP cuz if u leave it untreated it can cause other serious problems

cold water stops the bleeding. warm water will start it again
but still its not a treatment

thank u guys.. will consult a doc. soon… i really hope she dont make me keep visiting her.. you guys think it’d take more than 2 visits to sort this problem? if so, then im not even bothering.
ps: no talking about billis here.. im allergic to them.

No matter what they make you go 2 times.
If you have dental insurance then depends how much it covers. I had to pay 20%.
