Re: ...Blond Moment...
1) I was going to invite a new friend over for dinner...all of sudden I just
couldnt recall her number, though it was an easy one, merely eight digits.
Then I tried to reach for my mobile and I had 4gotten it @home! The usage
of mobile especially remembering numbers or fax numbers, has slowed my
memory. Later on, I read an article.....using mobiles does lessen our IQ!
2) The typical credit-card payment error when being at rush! I was paying for
some new books....So I used the pin-code of another credit-card and it was
such a longggg line behind me. Ouch! Anyway, I checked my pin-code
reminder, but I felt as if I had alzheimer light...lol
Re: …Blond Moment…
^ I agree. At work, we have passwords for about 7 systems and each password has to be so many characters long with numbers and special characters and bla bla bla…also you can’t use the one you’ve used before and those passwords can’t be same at the same time…they have weird requirements. So what I’ve done is printed a spread sheet and I’ve written my passwords in Urdu and only I can read/understand them in the entire 54+ floors building ![]()
Faizy I had totally forgotten that I can simply get up and look outside the window. Instead, I took the longer route of going online and checking the radar ![]()
Re: …Blond Moment…
hmm..well my youngest brother is SO lazy that once his favorite show was on, and he couldn’t find the remote control to change the channel, instead of getting up & changing the channel mannually…He got on laptop…Imed me on msn.. asking me for help…i was upstaires/busy so I took lOng to reach there ![]()
And when we finally found the remote and changed the channel, 2/3 of the show was over!! ![]()
Re: …Blond Moment…
^ I sometimes do that too (unknowingly) - I spend 2 minutes looking for the remote rather than walking up to the TV and changing the channel manually :halo:
Re: …Blond Moment…
I had made some returns using my credit card to a few different stores.
A few months later I wanted to know whether I got credited for alll the returns or not. So when I call the card company they found all but one
transaction didn’t seem to apper. At this moment I am giving myself shabash
that I had taken the time to call.
Then I call the store and tell em that I didn’t get credit for a return I had made.
The manager tells me he has to see my return receipt since it had been too long and they didn’t have any copies. Now while talking to him suddenly I look down at the bottom of my return receipt and notice a four letter word.
It said CASH at the bottom. I had never used my credit card for this
particular transaction therefore had gotten cash back for the product I returned. :halo:

Speaking of returns, I have a funny story to share ![]()
I bought a pair of pants from Dillards that was a little long when I tried it at the store. I still bought it thinking may be with my dress shoes, it’ll be okay. I brought it home and tried it with my dress shoes but it was still wrong. 2 days later I took it to the store to exchange it for a smaller size. I had the receipt, I had the credit card and the only thing that I did not have was the special sticker that dillards puts on the merchandise.
The sales associate refused to return it because it was missing their yellow sticker, I asked to speak to the manager, she came and flat out told me she can’t return it because I had washed it and she could smell detergent
I said look lady, aqal nu hath maar, I did not wash it in 2 days, I simply took it home, tried it on again and thought I would get a different size. Long story short, she pissed me off. I came home, contacted the district manager and told him how upset I was because I was basically accused of lying. He called the store, after a few days the store manager called all fine, apologizing, waiting for me to come in. I took it back, instead of exchanging it, I got my money back and I am not going to THAT particular Dillards store again ![]()
