Am I the only one who feels weird reading other people’s blogs? Kinda voyeuristic…don’t know these people. They are some random schmucks on the internet and here I am reading what they think about their life, personal issues and stuff.
nooo it does not feel odd...it's not like i am stalking them or anything...okay i give an example...there was this girl whose blog i read which was basically based on her personal problem and despite being in a trouble, she was being grateful to God and hanging on to the hope...i kind of needed the lesson at that point of time which i learned after reading her blog that no matter what happens you cant lose hope in HIM....so you read about people's experiences and learn from them...and imagine how many people must have prayed for her and given her the support she needed.....
If you can read it, they want you to read it. Nothing creepy about it.
Blogs are great as long as people respect what's in someone's blog (public or private) and don't drag their blogs anywhere outside of the blogs section e.g. forum threads or MSN etc!
Is it the reading or the writing that bothers you?
Reading a blog - I am only reading what someone else has chosen to share or overshare as the case may be. Voyeurism implies covert spying - with the blogs you are invited to glimpse into someone else life.
Writing a blog - same goes - the blogger only writes what he or she want others to know - there’s a choice. Do some people overshare, maybe, but who am I to judge :hinna:

Feels kinda creepy and stalkerish....
I know, I used to feel the same way. The privacy settings are there though so these people obviously want to be read and left comments.
