Blogs/Journals Feedback

I like the random blog entry thing even though it seems the same guppies blog keep popping up.

I don’t like the short list of journals, especially the fact that when you click “Find More” you have to browse through the ones again to get to new ones. I liked the older display with smaller description better.

Also I am not very thrilled about multiple entries showing up in the list. For example someone posts a song per entry and half a dozen songs, the list of blogs in the initial page gets filled with those and when you click find more, you have to make another few clicks to get to the others.

Showing the comments isn’t very helpful either but they are not as annoying as the above two mentioned concerns.

I guess what I am trying get at is that real estate on the initial blogs/journal page is being wasted.

I agree AJ.

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

I dont completely agree, although I understand his point

Blogs should have the identical display as forum, where latest blog or blog with the latest comment should come up

And it shows the Bloger's name, last blogee's name and number of comments

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

We have a work around for this.
There is the info bar on the left side i.e. Blog Statistics / Total Entries.
Click on the number of entries and it’ll take you to the short list.

Someone told me about it otherwise am not that ishmaart

Even though we prefer the short list by default but Gizzy pai don’t listen to us anymore :naraz:

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

  1. There should be more than the default setting of 10 blog entries and 10 blog comments on the main blog page.

  2. Ability to password-protect a certain blog entry or a certain blog category or such category/entry being viewable to only blog buddies (or whatever the term in use here).

How many of these can be implemented by our underpaid GS programmers, if at all?

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

yea the password option should be there.
( i don’t even have a blog :phati: )

and How about underpaid phlooders. I still haven’t received my eid bonus from GS :naraz:

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

I also agree. I think the list of latest blog entries + comments should be longer (like w/ the journals).

I actually checked later… I found you actually did comment in Some Blogs.. sorry – my bad

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

sometimes people PM me to read a particular entry. I still forget sometimes.
I don’t come here much but whenever i come, i wanna phlood :cb:

Re: Blogs/Journals Feedback

I absolutely love the display of comments.
It helps keep track of who is replying to an entry rather than going and searching for a comment and then keeping track.

Please dont change anything.
