Can we block incoming text messages from a specific number on our iphone?If yes, then will the sender will come to know about it that their number is blocked from sending us text messages? Will the messages on their phone show as delivered or it would come as failure delivery?

Check with your provider, they should be able to help you out. Some providers have a customer portal where you can log on and change your text preferences.
As far as the other party knowing whether or not you blocked them, i don’t think they would know. TXT messages, I THINK, are connectionless in nature, meaning it is a stream of data that is sent out but no guarantee of delivery and no feedback on whether it was successful.

It’s a headache. If its someone bothering you and they are being dheet, i suppose even if you report them they wl tang karing you with another number 
.
Thank God we have stricter rules for getting a new sim now.

There are a few apps out there that can do what you want. Unfortunately they are paid ones. One of them is called MCleaner (http://www.mcleaner.com/). There was another that used to be trial/ad-supported, that i knew of a little time back but I can’t find it. I’ll look.
Is you iPhone JB’d? You’d have more options if it is.
