any tips for curing my 4 month old’s stuffy nose? i’ve tried salline solution but it doesnt help… can it be allergy?

apply small small amount of vicks vapourub on the outside of the nose and on the chest area...very small amounts though. **

^^Vicks vaporub is not recommended for such young kids.

To the OP...do you use a suction bulb after using saline drops..??..That really helps.
Also if there is heating on around the house,try using a humidifier.It can help too.

Keep the child away from fans and keep him/her at room temprature/warm

yes i do have the suction bulb thingy but it doesnt suck out the "stuff" ,

^ get a different kind of bulb.

also, try elevating her at night so her head and upper body are raised up a little higher than the rest of her. everytime my kid gets a stuffy nose, i find it really helps him settle. washing her nose with water will also dislodge the snot as opposed to wiping with tissue. wet her nose with warm water and gently squeeze her nose from top down to bring it all forward and out.

i know...NOT the regular ones...i'm talking about the one formulated for babies ... it's less concentrated, i suppose. i think there is an infant's vicks available in pharmacies.

then the stuffiness may not be because if mucus, but because of allergy.

Get a good humidifier for your room.

if saline drops isnt workin , run a hot bath water and take your baby in to the bathroom..shut the bathroom door for about 5 minutes The steam will help,just sit in there for a while and that will clear him up! It may be alleries .... try using just a little bit of of the baby sinus medication.. and a Humidifier would be great too
