keeping ourselves and our houses clean and dhikr of Allah. Cleanliness is very important in our religion but how many ulemas talk about aesthetics?
"yeh na karo, woh na karo".... why don't they talk about what to do rather what not to do? I'm tired of this negative attitude of scholars and muslims in general.

I have heard of the practice of not leaving dirty dishes in the sink at night and this is not just believed by us Muslims I have plenty of Christian friends and they follow this very much too.
But in my opinion Barkat is house is directly related to your neeyat. When a meal is cooked with a clean heart with the intention to give a good meal to your family Barkaat will automatically comes in your house. I have a first hand experience with a family where the major portion of monthly income was spent on food and the income was a very good amount yet there was not a single day when the food cooked was enough for everyone and all the members had food to their full satisfaction. Reason , there were always too many fights in the house , everyone was after another for money and everyday the meal was cooked with the intention of saving the grocery rather than cooking enough for everyone.
To increase barkaat in your house we should not only keep the house clean , we should refrain from fights , we should not think negative about other esp from harming others point of view & pray to Allah.
