dude i dont think you should be touching the eggs and hatchlings, the parents could abandon them if they smell like you.

I haven't touched the doves. The Robin chick had already fledged the nest.

Two years ago I had picked the eggs to feel the warmth. The birds didn't mind.

As long as I don't steal the eggs or chicks, they won't abandon. At least these birds don't seem too picky. :)

Here is a clearer view with the little beak and the bulging black sealed eye.

Yesterday at the changing of the guards.
I believe father takes over the duty of incubating during the day.
