Bleeding Polycks

Does anyone have infor on Polycks.

Can you still fast if you have them, as I am finding that they become very active during ramadhan with more bleeding than normal.

Just concerned how this affects my roza.

Thanks

Re: Bleeding Polycks

polycks? polyps? pollucks?

Re: Bleeding Polycks

Do you mean PCOS or PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome?

If so, it does not matter for fasting. But when bleeding, heavy or not, you are not required to fast.

Re: Bleeding Polycks

Sorry Guys I meant polyps, i think my roza and worry over the situation was getting to me. Was not thinking straight. I am talking about bleeding polyps.

Thanks

Re: Bleeding Polycks

I'm assuming that you're talking about rectal/colon polyps. There is no "normal" amount of rectal bleeding! Ramadan aside, you should be concerned when there's ANY blood coming out of there.

Firstly, I truly hope you already had a colonoscopy to rule out anything serious. Secondly, you don't have meds to stop the bleeding? Have you been seen by a GI doc yet?

Re: Bleeding Polycks

maybe nasal polyps?

Re: Bleeding Polycks

^ For OPs sake.....I hope my assumption is wrong.

Re: Bleeding Polycks

No dear it is colon :( I have had colonoscopy, but they advised that it will like this until I finish having children. Then they can remove the polyps.

ITs just disheartening to see the blood when i am fasting.

Fingers crossed

Re: Bleeding Polycks

Glad to hear you got the colonoscopy to rule out cancer. I’m shocked that you were told that rectal bleeding will continue until you have children! I have no idea how they even came up with that.

They didn’t give you any medicine to stop the bleeding?!! It is NOT normal! Mine gave me meds and told me to take it ANYTIME I see blood. He said if the bleeding doesn’t stop within 3-4 days, I need to go back and see him. If the GI doctor is telling that you this bleeding is “normal” and did not give you any medicine to stop it, you need to find another GI doctor.
