Bleaching during pregnancy

Is it safe to bleach facial hair during pregnancy? I know you’re not supposed to dye your hair so I’m assuming the same rule applies to bleach?

Re: Bleaching during pregnancy

Well, I dont think so if bleaching the face as normal would do any harm to the fetus. I carried on as normally, no adverse effects that I noticed. If u still are unsure, then perhaps avoiding it during 1st 3 months, when there is highest risk of abortiona nd all the baby organs r getting made, u can do that.
Good luck with ur pregnancy and baby

Re: Bleaching during pregnancy

why would dying your hair can cause any problem to your fetus? Unless you ingest some of it :S same goes with the bleach.

Re: Bleaching during pregnancy

it goes inside the body through the hair /skin of the head!

i would not do it during the first trimester and later only enough to cover the white hair and not the whole head.

Regardless being pregnant or not, mixing ammonia and hydrogen peroxide (used as bleaching agents) are not good. Inhalation and skin absorption does occur.

Occasional use is OK and one must ensure good ventilation and gloves so these chemicsls do not get in to skin. Can't protect head skin (scalp) though.
