who would know that it would be so hard. My requirements are very simple.

  1. Colour- Navy blue. not just dark blue..but navy blue..
  2. buttons- 3 , not two, not 4
  3. lapels- pref notched, peaked on single breasted are rakish but dunn work well in alls ettings
  4. gorge- mid..not high like ghetto louts and not low like used car salesmen
  5. vents- side vents.. not center vent, not no vents
  6. Buttons- not gold, not silver, either plain blue/black
  7. Price- under $400
  8. all season wool witsuper 150s or so with some lycra for ease of movement
  9. lining- lycra added lining so the jacket moves well

cant friggin find it…may have to just get it made now.

oh yah but want hopsack, center vent gold button crap and there are thousands in every store

unless y’all know some place where i can get it.

Re: blazer/sport coat

yahan kissi nay kabhi koi sportcoat naheen khareeda?

Re: blazer/sport coat

khareeda tau hai....magar itnay complications kay saath nahin.

if it was me, I'd have it custom tailored for fit and design.

Re: blazer/sport coat

no complications, just simple requests

i mean if they can make ugly azz blazers with shiny buttons, center vents and low gorges, they sure as hell can make decent looking ones.

I would be complicaing things if i wanted lining with lycra joints around shoulders and armholes for ease of movement, but I am not (even though the jackets that have that feature built in are amazing in terms of comfort and ease of movement.

Re: blazer/sport coat

americans can't dress.......
you are a worldly man so you know about these things.

don't you think you are expecting a bit much from them?

Re: blazer/sport coat

i had such high hopes from brooks brothers, polo and cavin klein..
I woud have to once again look towards saville row now.

Re: blazer/sport coat

A couple of years ago, I was also dying to buy a blazer that had 3 buttonn, not 4........side vents, not center........plain buttons, no shiny or those fat buttons........searched everywhere, special men's wear places too, but couldn't find it. Finally found it at Macys. I was lucky. They only had one, and it was my size!!

Moral of the story: Try Macys if you haven't already. THey'll probably tell you they don't have any, you would have to check the vents of each suit yourself, like I did.

Re: blazer/sport coat

checked macys already :(
But one of my well dressed bros just told me that Canali has it, will try finding out what store carries that particular model

Re: blazer/sport coat

check the outlet stores...

Re: blazer/sport coat

Lusi, I would but i dont have time to go searching to see if someone has something, the selection and variety is limited there so I would rather just go to dept stores or company stores and figure it out.

Re: blazer/sport coat

Fraudia - there is one at Nordstrom that almost fits your requirments. They have a very good return policy, so you can try it out for some time and return it if you don’t like it.

Re: blazer/sport coat

Sara,
If we put some glasses on him and cut his hair he might look good.
But as he is, who would want him?
Too girly

Re: blazer/sport coat

are u making fun of my physique?
I did not get elected the senior partner at the law firm of pudgy, portly and stout for no reason now.

Re: blazer/sport coat

checked the jacket, pretty good, but still not the blend of cutting edge and classic I was hoping, they are adding lycra panels in the armhole area as well as the shoulder for easy movement, and in many cases the jacket material has lycra blend which helps it move better especially in travel and all. but the fabric of thid jacket is pretty good, it is a little too stiff though.

I will check the canali one and see if either of these make the cut, otherwise I will justhave one tailored. for $600 or so I can get te exact fabric in exact shade, in exact fit andwith the number of pockets, lining panels etc that I want.

bah, but i am impatient so may just buy oen of these..
