The world usually ignores Russian attempts to look at Chechen acts of terrorism the same way as terrorism everywhere. It is because of human rights abuses Russians perpetrate on Chechens.
But due to this act of terrorism in America, Russians may be able to pursuade Americans and the West to ignore Russian abuses in Chechnya. This means Russians will be more abusive there with impunity.

I am sure those two brothers never would have thought that their killing of 3 people would be worth infliction of Russian terror on Chechen people.

Terrorism never pays back.

Chechnya seems to be doing rather well these days… Ramzan Kadyrov has apparently proven himself to be a resourceful leader, despite the dark spots. Google “Chechnya’s rise from ashes.”
