Three suicide bombers killed 18 people and wounded 35 others at Data Darbar here late Thursday night, DCO Lahore Sajjad Bhutta said.
Two attackers blew themselves up inside the shrine while the third one outside it, he added.
Relief and rescue activities are underway at the blasts site.
A hand grenade has been found near Wazoo Khana of Shrine while police has cordoned off the area.
The injured, some of them in critical condition, have been shifted to nearby hospitals where emergency has been declared.
Data Darbar has five doors out of which four were closed. The only door kept open had a scanner installed with it and it is still unknown how the bombers made their way inside the shrine.

Many hardcore Muslims and militants oppose followers of the Sufi interpretation of Islam, a moderate belief system based on mysticism which they think is closer to Hinduism than Islam. That is the reason Sufis are targetted in Pakistan.

My first thoughts are with the victims and thier fammilies.

We all need to stick together at times like this and come together… it is a time to mourn our people who have been affected.
Later we will be able to discuss who caused what but right now humanity and solidarity with the victims.
As for those who did this there will be nowhere for them on earth or in Heaven! This is unforgiveable, and to do such an act ina place like that…
I say the perpertrators are kaffir! No true son of mussalmaan would do this…
By the blood of the innocent there will be justice… if not on earth then on judgement day.

Most Muslims would be against this... i am as hardcore as they come... and i am for tearing the perpetrators to peices!
No true Muslim would do this.
Acts like these make me more resolved to fight and this sort of thing would not be happening if our own strength was up to scratch... this is a failure on our part as a kaum and is succes for the enemy.

Datta darbar is not home for a particular sect it is the spiritual home of one the founding fathers of Islam in India.
Datta Ganjbaksh was a lion of Allah and his sacred site is spiritual home to people from as far as China.
