Bomb Injures Pakistani Minister

A suicide bomber has injured Pakistan’s interior minister and killed at least 12 other people at a rally in North West Frontier Province, police say.

Interior Minister Aftab Khan Sherpao had finished giving a speech at the meeting in Charsadda when the blast occurred, a police official said.

Mr Sherpao was taken to hospital in nearby Peshawar with minor injuries, official Mohammed Khan told AP.

The province lies on Pakistan’s troubled border with Afghanistan.

A son of the minister as well as elected politicians and security officials are among the injured, Mr Khan added.

Bacha Gul Wazir, the province’s home secretary, told Reuters news agency he had seen blood on the minister’s face but he did not know whose it was.

According to an unnamed “intelligence official” quoted by AP, security guards blocked the attacker as he tried to get close to the minister.

The attacker detonated the bomb moments later, the source said.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Interior minister is hurt.

Pakistan is falling prey to the Islamist monster it created.

Scourn on all mullahs and fanatics in Pakistan.

Maybe now GoP will crush Islam(ism) :D ] in Pakistan.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Another suicide bomber, more than 20 killed, dozens injured, Interior Minister injured, his son a parlimentarian also injured. Once again, security personnel sacrifice their lives in the line of duty, these guys are real hero’s.

Once again we will have the same chorus of pervertrs trying to rationalize this murderous act thru religion, once again the Govt will try to damage control, once again the Chaudhry will try to deflect the blame away from his right wing patrons, but one thing will remain the same, innocent people will continue to be killed in the name of religion.

These are the real terrorists who have terrorized entire Pakistan for the last 30 years, spreading sectarian hatred, killing of their opponents, and yet they are hailed as martyrs by some moroonic supporters.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Nothing will change, the generals will go back to making deals with the jihadis. They don't have the balls to challenge them, unless America scolds them enough.

Re: Blast in CharSada

this is terrible. we need to skin these idiots

Re: Blast in CharSada

The animal who did this will burn in hell for eternity. May Allah have mercy on the departed.

Re: Blast in CharSada

It's the local Pushtun from Charsadah who died. This shows what kind of animals these Jihadist and "Islamists" are. Today they may be fighting for "Shari'ah", and even if they get what they want, they will then use the same tactics to crush the other sects they don't agree with. I have seen the Shi'ah/Sunni violence that was so common in the late 80's and 90's. The Mullahs have always been bloody, they won't stop at anything. Today it's 'Shariah', tomorrow it will be 'their version' of Shariah and who knows what next. Time to take their guns away.

Re: Blast in CharSada

I strongly suspect a link to Afghanistan's hostile regime. Note how these blasts are in sync with Musharraf's open-Karzai bashing in Spain.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Pakistan should quickly move to dump all the Afghan terrorist "refugees" -- legal and illegal -- infact I don't care, bundle up all people frm Afghanistan within Pak and just send them back!!

Re: Blast in CharSada

One fine morning, during early 80’s I was going to school for a computer class on a warsak road; opposite ‘Kababyan-stop- there used to be a small tea house, had a cup of nice and strong tea there, paid my bill, came out; crossed the road and BANG. The next thing I remember; I was all covered in dust; my mouth full of mud mixed with my own blood. I stood up looked back and that small tea house was no longer there.
Was I scared? Honestly I don’t know -- I just kept on walking --kept on walking and; from the bang that made me walk to the bang that brought me to a stand still- I walked my life.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Pakistan is being bitten by its own child. Nothing good ever comes from flamming the flames of religion.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Wow...you were going to "Computer" classes in Pak in the early 80s.
I had not seen a computer until much later.

Re: Blast in CharSada

Bomber suspected to be an Afghani – according to Jang..

Re: Blast in CharSada

^^ The timing was too obvious, co-inciding with Mushy's scathing remarks against that idiot acros the border

Re: Blast in CharSada

This is not about religion. It's about dirty games being played by the Afghans.
