Shows how much Christians really respect their own religion and identity. They have put freedom of expression over their proclaimed God (Jesus PBUH). Reflective of the depth isn't it.
And morons burning down KFCs and murdering film makers are reflective of the depth of Muslims.
Also reflective is the BS that Islam recognizes all past Prophets (and Islam does not tolerate any of them tainted). If that's the case there would be burning of a lot more KFCs and not just when it is Muhammad that is tainted.
... Islam always had and will always have people defaming it. The best way to deal with it is forgive them and concentrate on purity of self, heart, and soul.
But, sarcasm aside, Islam always had and will always have people defaming it. The best way to deal with it is forgive them and concentrate on purity of self, heart, and soul.
Yea, good luck with that.
You're right. Islam will always be the target of those that hate the idea of a religion that Accepts, recognizes and respects allllll Prophets. Not only that, gives details of them that others books may lack. Afterall, they all delivered the same message, its the people who turned away from it and twisted the facts.
Thank God we have Quran to set the record straight. Alhamdulillah. :)

Yes, the idolization of Muhammad that has occured is interesting isn't it?
What was the last time you heard a muslim speaking wrongly of any Prophet?
If you want to complain and others want to kill about Christians defaming Muhammad, then you must also complain about Christians defaming Jesus. Otherwise your claim that Islam respects allllll Prophets is phony.

See there you go. I never even brought the actions in muslims into the picture but was commenting on what you had stated. Now to deflect the truth of it you drag the actions of others into the discussion. You are trying to characterize the behavior of Christians as it should be one that is followed, I am simply pointing out that they are passive to the point where I don't think they even believe what they claim to believe because if they did this whole nonsense about comfort level would not exist.
On the other hand I am not condoning actions of muslims who go a burn down KFCs and similar occurences of vandalism.
Why should muslims remain peaceful when they can see people being turned against them based on lies. Peaceful protesting does not stop the lies from spreading. We should just feel comfortable to see lies encircle us and say its fine, keep it up. I would rather economically/academically protest where possible but not violent. And people who publish such material should step forward when challenged for debate publicly to justify their stance. This would be my approach.

Didn't i say that up there that Christian feel they have right to say anything they want about Jesus (pbuh) from cool images of him, to animation, to bobbing-heads, etc..etc....
Or did you not understand that part?
FYI: I do condemn Christians disrespecting Jesus (pbuh), and other prophets whether it's Moses (pbuh) or anyone else. Period. It's sad that Christians can't even pay proper respect to one prophet, while Islam makes it mandatory on Muslims to respect ALL.
So no, it's not phony, it's quite admirable. Others could learn a thing or two from Muslims and Islam as a whole.

Yes, in particular because of the massive amount of criticism of Christians worshipping Christ and heavy emphasis that Muslims only follow the word of God and don't put any men on the same level as God.
By peaceful I mean complacent. For instance, this movie could not possibly be coming out for academic purpose. Its opportunistic and capatalizing on provokative sentiment. Academic research can be tolerated but endeavours which have no such intentions should be condemned and stopped in their tracks.

Yes, it's provocative. How do you stop it in its tracks without changing the laws of these countries with free speech? There are no blasphemy laws in his country.
But really what do we know? What are the facts?
He claims the Quran inspires "intolerance, murder and terror."
*]He has had dozens of death threats including a video circulating on the web that offers 72 virgins in paradise to any Muslim who beheads him.
So why go about rioting and threatening violence which just proves all these negative stereotypes? An educated critique of the film would be much more of an appropriate response. Go through and refute, point by point, all the innacuracies.
There have been plenty of films made in regards to the warpness within the bible , documentaries , movies etc .
I believe the film will be based on passages that give rise to fundamentalist extremism and how the Quran itself like the Bible, The TOrah has passages that through interpretation make many do crazy things , horrible things and heinous things under the guise of God's blessings.
I have a copy of Submission done by Van Gogh and it is not a condemnation of Islam but how Islam has been used by Islamists/fudnamentalists to persecute , and subjugate women.

Let them make any movie which anyone wants. For them freedom of speech is more important than any religion.
Very well state Ssingh. The Taliban also exercised freedom of speech when they blew up the ancient Bhuddist Statues and the Bhuddists did not run amok screaming for murder and blood or issue fatwas.
