By peaceful I mean complacent. For instance, this movie could not possibly be coming out for academic purpose. Its opportunistic and capatalizing on provokative sentiment. Academic research can be tolerated but endeavours which have no such intentions should be condemned and stopped in their tracks.
Yes, it's provocative. How do you stop it in its tracks without changing the laws of these countries with free speech? There are no blasphemy laws in his country.
But really what do we know? What are the facts?
- He claims the Quran inspires "intolerance, murder and terror." *]He has had dozens of death threats including a video circulating on the web that offers 72 virgins in paradise to any Muslim who beheads him. So why go about rioting and threatening violence which just proves all these negative stereotypes? An educated critique of the film would be much more of an appropriate response. Go through and refute, point by point, all the innacuracies.
