Monitoring minutely the Live news channels it would appear that much more than sufficient relief rescue material has come except tents. For rehabilitation of course much is needed which indications are will come. When in 1973/1974 a big earthquake came around Basham area of Azad Kashmir the relief material and financial aid came in such a large extent that I remember a comment from a foreign radio that if properly utilized it can rebuild whole of the Kashmir and northern areas and not merely Basham. The green color packed pure butter tins, blankets, winter protector jackets and shoes which were never earlier available in our markets and which came in aid from West were soon then seen in our shops in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi. Keeping in view our Zakat distribution net work and the people who today come as elected MPs or local bodies, soon we the retail prices of the foreign blankets at retail shops in the market will drastically come down and new brand and variety of blankets would be available in Bara markets.
