Blair’s first defeat :hula:

Tony Blair suffers a resounding defeat in the Commons over his bid to get terror suspects detained without charge for 90 days.

He’s lost the vote by 31 votes signaling a big rebellion by Labour MPs. It’s the first such defeat of his Premiership. He paid for the sheer arrogance he showed during the passage of this bill and the Parliament has showed they are the boss and not him.

Good for the Parliament and good for the country. Hope this will hasten the departure of Blair from 10 Downing street.
